From the race steward explaining the blue and yellow flag to the group of rookie drivers at the Idaho Auto Auction Hornet race night on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at Meridian Speedway. When the flag man shows you this flag hold your line and stay out of the way because... "there's a race going on and you're not in it."
that you can't win a race in the first lap. Justin Padour won the Street Stock main in the first 7 laps at Meridian Speedway on Saturday night. But then that was the shortest main event I have seen.
Seven laps... one at a time.
Good grief
If the squirels are chasing the nuts, it's the B main.

How many of you shop for auto parts on a weekly basis. If you do,I am sure you have your favorite place to shop. Last week I was parts chasing after work trying to get my pickup running and needed an electrical part. One of the people at NAPA even offered to bring me the part himself on his way home from work.
I had wanted to do a flat out run through the orange traffic cones for some time. Driving through road construction every summer in Southwester Idaho just didn't seem to be enough for me. I needed some poor defensless cones who's job it was to direct cars going fast and not to announce "danger". An SCCA Solo II event seemed to be just the ticket.
This weekend on Saturday speed junkies can get a double fix starting at 9 AM at the Marsing Sprint Boat track until 4 PM. Then hurry over to the next county to Meridian Speedway or Firebird raceway for evening events. If you include Sunday you can get a triple fix for the monkey on your back. Marsing on Saturday Morning, Meridian on Saturday evening, and Firebird on Sunday.
This blog entry is a re-run from a couple of months ago. Thought some of it was still pertinent, and since I wrote it before the new website navigation came into effect it was probably not well read. Well, if you've already read it just skip it.

Cool stuff coming your way and some things you should do just because.
One of the most enjoyable parts of a race night at the races is walking through the pits afterwards. Maybe due to the adreneline and the intensity of racing when it is all over the drivers are on an emotional high and are even more fun to visit with than they would be if you met them on the street.
