ok, here it goes, what a week it has been around the valley, the heat is definetly getting to a few of us it seems.

wow, hard to believe it has been a month since i have had a chance to post some feelings. Since i last posted we have had a ton of exciting races around the treasure valley. Matt Elliott kicked off the big two day fourth excitement by claiming the firecracker fifrty for the winged sprint cars on the 4th of july.

I have had a coouple weekends away from racing and look forward to getting back on the track. In my absence a few things in the motorsports world came about. For the last couple seasons we have had the privelelge f watching Butch Gilliland run laps at Meridian Speedway. Butch has an extensive professional racing carreer and has settled in the treasure valley.

Oh right, oh right, i know what you are thinking, mister race track, always talking up the sport, drivers,tracks, can just up and leave the state right after he writes about the best night yet--well..........yeh.

We have been waiting for the luck to shine down on us at the track all year and have a great night of racing and still get to the bar by midnight. Well we got it along with some exciting racing Saturday night at Meridian Speedway.

Wow, three big days of racing for the badbasco racing team this weekend. After announcing at Meridian Speedway Friday and Saturday nights, watching SRP's Brandon Johnson race his way to his first Diamond Cup Victory, it was up bright and early for a day of action at SRP. The younger bad basco is in his third year of boxstock racing at Sandhollow, Brock Arte--my boy!.

OK fans, over the last few weeks at the track as I tried my best to hype up this years new look Diamond Cup at Meridian Speedway, you bombarded me with "why not the supermodifieds" week in and week out. I will be honest, every diamond cup I have been to had modifieds, but my thought was that by bringing in the NSRA sprint cars and adding them to our local cars we might be in fo a great show.
