Meridian Speedway Results for May 10, 2008
Notes regarding the results: Some of the results were not available at the time of this posting. They will be posted later.
Driver names will be added as I can find out the information. Last night's racing was hectic. Bunch of nonsensical wrecks, two Hornet rollovers, the computer and scoreboard needing a reboot (or a boot), and at the end of it all I lost some of my notes and didn't notice until I got home. Updates
It turns out that it was not Austin Hager in Johnny Giesler's car during qualifying but Giesler himself. Austin wrote on the Idaho Stock Car Forum about the above information.
Apparently Johnny had a prom date and could not stay beyond qualifying. At least he hung around long enough to post quick time. Hager also had quick time during the main in the same car. The set up must be right on for both drivers. They both do awesome.
On another note. Butch Gilliland was DQed after the Late Model race on Saturday night due to not stopping at the scales after the third place finish. He will retain his points for the qualifying and the heat race but lost his points for the main. The official that told me this did not state a reason why Gilliland passed the scales but speculated that maybe he forgot. Apparently that happens somtimes.
