Holy Cow those sprints were fast last night. Twelve cars under 12 seconds.
Congradulations Brandon on the awsome win. Some awesome driving and passing to get to the front. I missed one his passes though because I was watching Kenny Hamilton work his way past Cody Veenstra. Cody is a good driver and so Kenny's pass was breathtaking. Kenny loked high but then backed off. Andy Alberding then looked high around Hamilton but Hamilton then ducked to the inside of Veenstra at the same time Alberding went to the high side. I wish I had an instant replay because I don't remember when was the last time I have seen a three wide pass with the winged sprints. No cautions either. Excellent driving by all involved... at least for the Sprints; the other classes were another matter entirely.
Correction... now the second fastest
So now the fastest field I have seen is the winged sprints from May 31, 2008. Kenny Hamilton set a new track record with a blistering 11.440. Brandon Johnson had the old track record of 11.497 set last year. Fourteen of the 26 cars qualified under 12 seconds.
