Why not the NSRA?

OK fans, over the last few weeks at the track as I tried my best to hype up this years new look Diamond Cup at Meridian Speedway, you bombarded me with "why not the supermodifieds" week in and week out. I will be honest, every diamond cup I have been to had modifieds, but my thought was that by bringing in the NSRA sprint cars and adding them to our local cars we might be in fo a great show. So that was my answer to you each week. Then came May 30th. As I was driving to the track I began to feel anxious, since having the opportunity to be the track announcer, something I have always wanted to do, I sometimes feel that what I say can sometimes be carried in different ways, and after weeks of telling you all that it would be great, i still wondered a little. But as I walked through the back gate, a sight that always pumps me up, the entire back row of the pits was decorated with the brighlty colored wings of sprint cars--lots of sprint cars--as it seems to do to me every weekend I felt like a kid with a new toy, 26 new toys actually. And then the fire and fury began, with a new cast of charactes in 2008, but why not, that is what 2008 has been, new and exciting--grass on the infield--play ball!!, another chance for myself and Brian Rodgers to entertain the crowd and talk racing, and the new liik Diamond Cup that by Friday night had turnied even the most casual open wheel fan in to a Sprint car junkie, even those who complained about our own Brandon Johnson in the past became Idaho Outlaw 14j fans in only nine and a half minutes of a 40 lap main that capped off a night of racing that will stand out in our minds for ever. I have been going to the track for nearly thirty years(wow that statement makes me sound old) and have had the pleasure of seeing some of the northwests greats, but Friday night was a night that we got the jump on gettin g the Diamond Cup back to Idaho, and within 24 hours on the finger of IDAHO'S, outlaw! Now we all breathed a sigh or relief as the drivers of the 51,98,3,and 7 walked away from horrific accidents on Saturday, though mother nature took charge and cut our night short, what we missed was a classic duel between the next generation of superstars to come out of our little Meridian Speedway. Mike Cullem had set himself up for a legitimate run at Brandon in the fifty lap main, it was cut short, and though we did not get to experienc two of own battling it out for the cup, we did see the NSRA support their inagural Diamon Cup opportunity with an aewsome traveling group even in light of the high fuel prices, they supported Meridian Speedway and we should support the NSRA--Two words of advise--always go to bothe days of a two day show, because you never know when mother nature will surpirse us, and always, always listen to your track announcer about the quality product of the shows at Meridian Speedway, because I have the best seat in the house---with the drivers, on the infield, and with you the fans of Meridian Speedway-For that I thank you each and every one for your support. So in parting I tell you take my advice, there is not one weekend left on the schedule you are going to want to miss--take my word for it---have I steered you wrong yet----Help us keep circle track racing in the valley on its upward climb--this i sthe sport we enjoy--lets keep it real and fun--see you at the races!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeez Brent...

I wish I could talk like you do.
I had a huge amount of fun at the track both days and hearing it again from you makes it all come back to me even better than my own race reports.

Keep Talkin'... that's what you're good at.
