Update on Colin Parker

Young Bandolero drivers, Blade Ince and Colin Parker, got together on the front stretch coming out of turn four and hit the front stretch wall side by side, head on. The safety crews rushed in to check on the drivers and assist them in climbing out. Ince climbed out, took off his HANS device and was OK but Parker had to be assisted by the paramedics. Parker was transported to St. Alphonsis in Boise. His parents went with him and Donavan Parker, his father, returned to the pits later to pick up his equipment and the severely bent car. Donavan reported that Colin has a broken right wrist and has an air cast on it to stabilize it and will probably not get a plaster cast. The break is minor and he should heal up soon. Also a sore rib or two and other soreness. Parker was wearing a HANS device also and the Bandoleros all have hight quality seat belts, racing seats, and personal safety equipment. It is assumed that Parker braced himself with the steering wheel at the point of impact and severly jarred his wrist.

Ince seems to be OK with no injuries.

I know that the Meridian Speedway staff and the fans wish Parker to get well soon.
