until Wednesday night at Idaho Auto Auction Day. My slow yellow Mustang was berated by the first driver that got in to it as being too slow. The second driver did okay and even passed a car or two, but spun out and brought out the first caution of the night. The car was not used during the next two heat races nor in the B Main. I asked Stacy Hager if my car was scheduled to run again or could I put it on the trailer. She said, yes it is scheduled for the A main. I put the driver, Danny Amen, (owner of AAA Auto Sales in Nampa) in the car and got him hooked up and told him to drive tight lines, the car handles good, corners good, drives predictably, but is a little under powered. "Don't let any body get inside and they can't get around you". He drove the inside and the only ones that got past him were another driver that pushed him loose going into turn three and then got inside and was followed by a second driver. (I didn't get the names because they weren't the regular drivers) A few laps later the two in front tangled and Danny passed them for the lead. He held off 15 or so other drivers for the next 10 laps with the 24 car trying for an outside pass but could not complete it. He pulled ahead on the straights but the lowley 19 car pulled back ahead on the corners and held on for the checkered.
The RF tire is a little chunked and the fenders have some new dents and donuts but I drove it back on the trailer. A good race night.
At victory lane Danny got his picture taken with four cute girls. From left to right; Dani Stapleton, Karissa Wood (Cute girls), Danny Amen (winning driver), Desiree Dennison, Hailee Wood (two more cute girls), and peeking around the checkered flag is Austin Hager (flagman for the night). It was a great night for racing and a lot of fun. Oh by the way. That wonderful looking trophy was made by the lovely Karissa Wood. Talented too.
