Quick Flip
Dave Quick flips during the first lap of the Tater Cup 100 at Meridian Speedway. This was only part of the carnage that night. A couple of others were also damaged but it apears that everyone walked away. Cody Veenstra was not able to continue and neither was Mike Cullum. It was a bad night for some winged sprinters and a good night for others. Sierra Jackson avoided this wreck but when she passed Brandon Johnson much later in the race the two of them bumped tires, Johnson got partially airborn and saved it but Jackson later pitted.
Kenny Hamilton returned to the race from the pits and restarted at the tail end and worked his way back to the front in the 100 laps.
The final for the showdown in downtown was Hamilton in the lead followed by Johnson, Chris Rattarree, Shawn Smith and Cory Lockwood in the top five.
