Outlaw karters ready to get back to work in caldwell

Well the holidays are behind us and the ksrts are ready to tear up the indoor track in Caldwell again as they get ready for the home stretch in the 2008-09 indoor season. As is tradition with the caldwell series, the racers took a break after the first three races to enjoy the holiday season and now are ready for five big race dates in the next wo months to battle for a championship. If the points battles up to this point are any indication, this is going to be an exciting stretch for the drivers and fans alike. This Saturday January 17th the track will open up for the first time in 09 and in the boxstock class a huge four way battle is brewing as Delaney Blume holds a 10 point edge over the up and coming CJ Stirm. Kaleb Johnson is showing his muscle in the 41 car, closing the gap to just 2 points behind CJ. James Paul, in his first season finds himself just 26 points behind johnson for fourth. This class is exciting and fun to watch as some of the youngest racers go head to head for the title. The points standings could change in a minute on the track, so keep an eye on the boxstocks as the season winds down. In the 125 class the points are tight as well with Zack Blume leading Nitro Nick Isaacson by 9 points coming out of the holiday break. Shon Gooden is only 3 back, just waiting to pounce on the leaders at any turn. But in hi rearviiew mirrior is Gary Knudsen and rookie Dylan stacy only one and 5 points back respectably. Makay;a Mckibben and Aly Clark are battling it out in the Jr 500 class with only three points separating the ladies. Talk about tight races, the open 500 division is deadlocked between Dayn Amyx and Ben Hinkle at 440 points a piece, Ben Haney, Austin Lev and Gary Brown lead a charge from the rest of the pack going into this weekends action.
