Championship Weekend in Kuna, Stirm and Arte prepare for final race in boxstocks

Seven local racers will be crowned champions after this weekends races at the f-bar arena in kuna. Steve Evans and his group of volunteers have put together a successful indoor season in Kuna, and they are ready for championship day this sunday at 11 am.Car counts grew steadily throughout the innagural season of the Kuna indoor series and it all comes down to this final weekend and maybe even the final laps as local drivers vie for championships. In the always popular open 500 class, TJ Labronte has been consistant all year long, and is holding a comfortable lead over Julian Stacey, 1001 points to 977. Wyatt King sits third with 947. The LaBrontes hold a place in racing history here in the treasure valley, and TJ looks to add to that history Sunday with an open 500 title. If you want to see what racing and family have to do with each other, take a look at this group after the championship is secured, a true asset to all local racing, in the past and in the future, the Labrontes will be cheering TJ on. The young man has the talent, and will be a force no matter what road his racing carreer travels. Patrick Moultan leads the desparado class over Chuck Miller 1019-961. CHance Connell has all but locked up the title in the Jr. 500 division with a 865-795 Lead over rookie Aly CLark. Zane Lee sits third with 674 points going into Sundays finale. The 125 class is tight through the top four, and could be interesting this weekend as positions could jockey around throughout the days events. Nitro Nick Isaacson is in the drivers seat with 1027 points over DJ HAmilton's 994. Conner Elliott and rookie Dylan Stacy are within striking distance at 987 and 949 points. This should be an exciting class to watch as the kids gain experience before heading outdoors this spring. The Bandit championship looks to be a lock for Ethan Jones , with a 999-829 lead over Hayden Flynn. Daytona Wurtz sits just 25 points back, and will be pushing for that runner up spot. The closest races in the series come in the boxstock and hot rod divisions. Blade Ince and Justin Segura have been battling back and forth all year long, and are separated by only six points with one race to go. The up and coming Ali Norton has made a run at the boys as of late, getting the car dialed in and gaining confidence in the 10 car, but missing the first race has set her back an it looks as if she will grab third spot in her rookie campaign in the hot rods. Teamates are set to battle it out for the boxstock championship. Brock Arte, with substitute driver Clancy Glenn in the opener, has led from the start, but teamate and friend CJ Stirm is flexing her muscle as the season winds down, finally grabbing the points lead last race by a mere 8 points. It will be a race for the ages as these two young drivers have gained confidence in their skills over the last year and are set for a showdown this weekend, keep your eyes on the 12 and 93 in the boxstock division. So there you have it, Jones,LaBronte,Isaacson, Moultan, and Connell need to be consistant and finish in one piece to secure the championships in the innagural season in Kuna, Ince and Segura will be wheel to wheel for the hot Rod title and Brock Arte is in search of his first Championship of his career, but he has to find a way around a tough CJ Stirm to make it a reality. Pick your drivers and come on out to the F-Bar Arena in Kuna this Sunday, January 25, 2009 for some high speed racing action.
