Idaho Wheelers For The Wounded donates $3200 to Idaho State Veteran’s Home

The Hillbilly Rock Krew & Bucks 4x4 Center present $3200 raised through their Idaho Wheeler’s for the Wounded fund raiser events from the past year and a half to the Idaho Veteran’s Home. Events included Fun Krawls, (rock crawling events) car washes and raffles.

The Hillbilly Rock Krew, (HBRK) along with numerous friends, family and other off road enthusiasts has worked hard this past year to raise money to help those who have unselfishly risked their lives for our freedom. As CSM Hawkins received the check from the Hillbilly Rock Krew he explained that some of the money would be used in the activity department and also that one more special bed would be able to be purchased for those in the home that had a need. Hawkins added that they still need about a dozen more beds for the home.

Todd Young, president of HBRK, donated a box of shirts from their fundraiser events to CSM Hawkins to give to Veterans. Hawkins thanked Young for the shirts and the check and stated “by doing this, you have helped a lot.”

Wheelers for the Wounded was initially started up to be a national charitable organization but when the original organizers were unable to continue, HBRK picked it up and ran with it in the form of an Idaho based organization to help local wounded members of the armed forces. Toni Wagoner of Bucks 4x4 Center has helped out considerably with the organization and promotion of the events.
