It is with a sad heart that I am reporting that Tom Elliott died Monday morning Sep. 7.
I don't remember if I ever met Mr. Elliott but in looking through my files I have photographed him from time to time. The above photo was taken Sep. 5th when Matt won the fast dash that night at Meridian Speedway. As you can see Tom was in the background enjoying his son's victories.
Here at Idaho Racing News our thoughts and prayers go out to the Elliott family and we wish them solace in this stressful and heartbreaking time.
I just found this note from Terry Ellis on the Idaho Stockcar message board. "If you want to help in any way right now, the family has requested food for their out of state families and visitors that they are getting. Call Tara Elliott @ 389-8581 to make arrangements."
