Texting and driving are really, really stupid
I just witnessed this accident at about a quarter to six today. I was witing to pull out onto Cleveland Blvd. when the driver of this white Chevy pickup crossed three lanes of traffic and slammed into a KIA SUV with three people in side. Two other vehicles collided while trying to avoid the Chevy. After hitting the KIA the CHevy continued on to and through the side of this house where elderly Fay Dunlap was watching TV. Fay was thrown to the floor by the pickup and was severly injured. Witnesses said that her injuries appeared to be life threatening but a relative later told me that she would probably be okay. Two of the occupants of the KIA were transported to a Boise hospital.
I have just one thing to ad to this. Texting and driving are a really stupid combination.
It is ironic that this happened onthe day that the House and the Senate could not agree on a texting bill and the measure is now dead for another year.
