(Twin Falls, Idaho) Middlekauff Ford “Race for the Cure” Night was a great success at Magic Valley Speedway. Fantastic raffle prizes, pink lemonade and much more was part of the evening that benefitted the Susan G. Komen foundation to find a cure for cancer. The speedway was glad to be a part of the larger effort between Northwest race tracks this season and hopes that the increased awareness along with the monies raised will continue to make a difference.

In the Budweiser Super Stock Main event, Norm Hatke took command and then had to battle through several cautions to eventually claim the win. Defending Champion Kris McKean after being relegated to the rear of the field early on, came on for a strong finish beating Daniel Shirley back to the stripe for second place in a spirited race for the top three.

The NAPA Street Stocks showcased fun and excitement with John Newell finally able to wrestle the lead from hard charging Kendal Woll. The fans were treated to eventful pack racing as Casey Pehrson battled hard to round out the top three.

Showing his ever improving talent and skill, the young Andy Brennan flat dominated in his Quales Electronics Hornet. With smooth skill he led from green to checkered. Kudos to Andy as he thanked his sponsors and wished his mother “\Happy Mothers Day”. Jeff Peck raced his way to second while Brandon Mortenson trailed for third.

Ray Homolka did an excellent job of getting through traffic to win driving away in the Brennans Carpet Pony Stock division. Once again the action was entertaining Todd “Hot Rod” Audet and Dan Pulver finished second and third respectively.

Next up at Magic Valley Speedway, Saturday May 15th “Military Appreciation Night”. Show your Military ID and get in for free! Also, the “Mr. Gas Late Models” are back along with the NAPA Streets, Brennans Carpet Ponies, Quales Electronic Hornets and Junior Stingers.
