The carnage from boats being wrecked lay strewn all around the Magic Valley Speedway at evenings end. The smell of fiberglass and wood wafted through the grandstands as the crowd gave a standing ovation to the racers.

Rick Fowble continued his dream season with yet another victory in the Mr. Gas Late Models. Standing in Ted’s Repair Victory Lane his wide smile was enough evidence. After Mike Greco and Jeff Pohlman tangled early on and launched themselves off turn three, Fowble took command and led all the way through traffic to the checkered flag. Kris McKean was able to catch Fowble but passing him was not to be as Fowble cruised on to the win. Travis Monett finished third with Jeff Wade racing hard and beating Bruce Quale for fourth.

Casey Pehrson celebrated a NAPA Street Stock main event win defeating points leader and defending champion John Newell who was a distant second. Craig Nuthak was hard charging after a dozen laps of side by side racing with Vincent Orr early on in the main and held on to finish third.

The Championship battle in the Brennans Carpet Pony Stocks is down to a near tie between the two gunslingers “Rock Star” Ray Homolka and “Hot Rod” Todd Audet. Homolka was first to burst into the lead with a tight three wide move. Audet chased but could not close on Homolka as they once again went first and second in the main with Rookie of the Year candidate Jerry Slocum third.

The ever popular Quales Electronics Hornets and Junior Stingers once again provided great entertainment for the fans. In the Hornet Main event Brandon Mortenson drove flawless as he visited Teds Repair Victory Lane for the first time this season. Jeff Peck held off Ty Garibay for second and Andy Brennan finished just ahead of Bob Gilligan in fourth. “Racin” Jason Quale took off and led flag to flag for a win in the Junior Stingers with “Tank” Doug Brownfield second and Brandon Greco third. The points leader “Young Gun” Russell Dalton had early trouble but managed to finish fifth.

After week off for the Twin Falls County Fair MVS will feature two great championship nights of racing action on September 11th & September 18th. For more information visit our website at www.magicvalleyspeedway.com
