Miss DD and I will officially begin the "We, the People, have your backs" Tour 2008 at the Firebird Raceway Spring swap meet and Test and Tune, here in Idaho on April 11.
I've built Miss DD specifically for this mission of bringing to the publics' eye the need to take care of our wounded and fallen warriors and their families. I've displayed on the race car the names and web addresses of 5 reputable non-profit organizations that give support and guidance to wounded Army, Air Force, Navy/Marine Corp and Coast Guard personnel and their family members in need.
We will be Showing and Going to events all summer long locally and in 5 other states as well as on You Tube and other media.
NOTE: We will NOT be accepting donations for these organizations, but will ONLY direct those who want to donate, to the respective web sites. Our mission is specifically to 'get the word out'.
However, as I've invested over 1,000 hours and over $ 25,000 of my own money into building Miss DD, I am accepting contributions to help pay for show, race, and travel expenses. As I am NOT a legal non-profit organization, you do so at your own risk. As a Vietnam Veteran, I promise that I am 100 % dedicated to this mission. It is my life's reason for being here. We owe these folks, our Military and their families, as much as we can give them.
They are fighting the most difficult, complicated, and important fight in the history of the United States if not the World. Politics aside, this IS reality.

For you folks reading this that are in our Military, I salute each and every one of you World Wide. I would be honored if you could send me Unit patches or stickers. The cloth patches will be copied into sticker form and then be sewn onto a fabric sheet for display at car shows and other events. That sheet will ride in Miss DD in all races while secured in an ammo can in the trunk. All the stickers will be attached onto Miss DD's curvy body for the world to see.
Miss DD Doba is built for Open Road Racing. Pony Express 130, Silver State Classic and others. These websites can educate you fairly well on what Open Road Racing is:

Our first ORR event will be June21 in Wendover, Utah for the Bonneville 100 on highway 93. Not to be confused with the Bonneville Salt Flats. We'll be going THERE in August to see if we can break 200 miles an hour as the World's fastest 1976 Chrysler Cordoba !! Might even give Ricardo a ride if he shows up ;-)
