MERIDIAN, Idaho — The race car drivers aren’t the only ones who will be rushing for glory Saturday night at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway.
As the Idaho Rally prepares for its fourth year Idaho Racing News prepares to cover the event for the fourth time. We are the only local media organization that has been with the rally for all four years. Just seconds after this photo was taken Johnny Giesler tagged the turn one wall. After the long trip back to the pits many other competitiors raced to help. Within about a two hour time span his car was not only back on track but had set a new track record. Later in the evening Johnny piloted to another victory. This time in the 40 lap Pepsi Sprintcar main. See the story below.

MERIDIAN, Idaho -- Sportsmanship triggered a reversal of fortune Saturday for Johnny Giesler, the defending champion in the Pepsi Sprintcars at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway.

MERIDIAN, Idaho -- Ray Bolinger didn't seem surprised that he had to drive his best race right out of the gate in the Mini Stocks at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway.
MERIDIAN, Idaho — Things will only get faster Saturday at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway when the open-wheelers are let loose on the new pavement for the Sprintcar Season Opener.
Fans can expect more record-setting laps with the Mtn. Dew Winged Sprints, Pepsi Sprintcars, Mini Stocks and Domino’s Legends tracking to the fresh quarter-mile oval.
