Marsing Sprint Boat Races

Marsing, Idaho – The second sprint boat race of the 2008 season at the Marsing Sprint Boat track was run on Saturday August 9. This race was not part of the United States Sprint Boat Racing Association schedule but with the quality of the event and the large number of local drivers most of the fans did not notice the lack of a sanctioning body.

Davey Hamilton on the Indy 500 and open wheel racing

Davey Hamilton proved something to himself by coming back from serious leg injuries suffered six years earlier in a crash at Texas to finish ninth in the 2007 Indianapolis 500.This year, Hamilton is in the 33-car field again; not to prove a point but to win."I came in here last year and this year first of all to have fun," said Hamilton, driver of the No.

Excerpts from Davey Hamilton's Blog

After sitting around for so many days it was almost like the first time back in the car. The great thing about today is that there were 35 cars out on the track I believe so it was a lot more like race conditions out there. It felt good to be out in traffic and I was running with some of the guys from the top of the speed charts behind me and in front of me so we're all learning a lot.

Some Davey Hamilton Indy info from Bill Adams

Davey finally got back on the track. His last day on the track was Saturday. He turned 65 laps today. His top speed was 220.0190 mph time: 40.8737 seconds. He was 27th on the speed chart. Information is slow coming out of Indy today. I will forward more info as I compile it.
