MERIDIAN, Idaho -- Drew Church made a late entry into the 2009 ASA Northwest Sprintcar Racing Association season on his own bankroll.
It was a pretty good investment, considering Church has won the past two features in the series, including Friday at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway to kick off Coors Light Championship weekend.

The Emmett, Idaho, driver held off four-time series champion and Hall of Famer Dean Waltman to win the 40-lap Idaho Six-cylinder Racing League main event. It was Parks' first-ever feature victory

MERIDIAN, Idaho -- Cody Veenstra found the power to win Saturday night at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway.
The Emmett, Idaho, sprintcar driver roared out to a huge lead in the Winged Sprints main event and cruised to the checkered flag after 40 laps during the first night of the Pepsi and Tates Labor Day Races.

MERIDIAN, Idaho -- A leisurely Saturday night drive turned into a white-knuckled ride for Craig Bell in the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series Gem State 100 at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway.
But the Kuna, Idaho, driver was able to thrill the hometown crowd by holding off Jeff Jefferson's charge over the final 40 laps to win.
